Levi Kumle

I am a DPhil student supervised by Dejan Draschkow and Kia Nobre, funded through the Department of Experimental Psychology Studentship and Clarendon Fund Scholarship. 

I am interested in how different cognitive processes, including working memory and attention, are flexibly coordinated during temporally extended behaviour. The overarching goal of my DPhil is furthering our understanding how cognition unfolds in naturalistic, real-world contexts. Additionally, I am interested in all things research methods and methods development. 

Before starting my DPhil, I completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt with a major in Cognitive Neuroscience. During my studies, I worked as a research assistant at the Scene Grammar Lab at Goethe University Frankfurt, as well as the Developmental Affective Science Lab at UNSW Sydney. Additionally, I was involved in research at the Visual Attention Lab at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the Brain & Cognition Lab at the University of Oxford as a visiting graduate student.
