Lucas Shelemy

Research Clinical Psychologist

I am a Research Clinical Psychologist, working with Dr Polly Waite. My research focuses on increasing access to evidence-based psychological treatments for adolescents experiencing Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), through the development and implementation of a Brief Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) intervention for OCD for adolescents. I am involved with the supervision of clinicians delivering the intervention, measuring intervention integrity and adherence, and supporting with running the feasibility trial for this treatment.

My previous research has focused on OCD mechanisms, brief eating disorder intervention modules and understanding the needs and roles of teachers in secondary schools regarding mental health of students.

I also work clinically in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as a Clinical Psychologist.
