Maja Friedemann

BSc, MPhil, MSc

DPhil Candidate

I am a DPhil (PhD) candidate at the ACC Lab supervised by Prof. Nick Yeung and Dr. Dan Bang. My DPhil is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) as well as St. John's College.

My research is focused on metacognition in a social context and confidence guided information-seeking. I explore human confidence and information sampling choices by measuring behaviour (such as response times and confidence judgements) and recording brain activity using electroencephalography (EEG) during simple perceptual decision tasks.

Prior to my studies at Oxford, I acquired an MSc in Cognitive and Decision Sciences at UCL, an MPhil in Management at the University of Cambridge, and a BSc in Psychology at the University of Mannheim.
