Matthew Bousfield

VR Developer

I am a VR Developer working mainly with Unity and C# for the Meta Quest Headset. I have been working on projects within OCAP to support treatments with supplementary Virtual Reality Games.

I have been working with VR for 5 years within different sectors for serious uses. I have focused mainly on Learning and Development through Immersive Technologies and User Experience and Interaction within Virtual Reality. Using the games design and technology for serious applications and using them to assist people is something I am passionate about.

I worked with Oxford VR, a spin-out from Daniel Freeman's work at OCAP, for a year before the UK closure of development. I worked on several of the modules under development and also helped with porting the GameChange project to the portable Quest headsets. I found this work extremely rewarding, so I was happy to join OCAP after working on business to business oriented content again.

I studied Games Design and Production Management at Abertay University in Dundee where I focused on what causes strong emotional reactions in players over watchers.
