Research Interests

I am a current graduate student exploring mental health outcomes in people living in conflict areas, specifically Ukraine. My research focuses on distinguishing pathological behaviours from adaptive responses that might be necessary for survival in a war zone. Additionally, I am investigating the relationship between cognitive mechanisms, self-compassion, resilience, coping and mental health outcomes, such as anxiety, depression and PTSD symptoms in the Ukrainian civilian population using a longitudinal design.

During my undergraduate degree, I wrote my dissertation on resilience, coping and PTSD symptoms among female Ukrainian refugees and internally displaced people, which you can read here
