Siqi Cao
DPhil Candidate
I am a PhD student in the Attention and Cognitive Control Lab (ACClab), supervised by Nick Yeung.
My name (Siqi) derives from the first part of the wise words by Confucius on self-improvement, which shapes my understanding of every life encounter.
“When you see someone who is worthy, concentrate upon becoming their equal; when you see someone who is unworthy, use this as an opportunity to look within yourself.”
I am interested in how beliefs in self and others are changed during learning processes. Specifically, how the bidirectional effect of learning about ourselves and others on trust formation and performance through goal-directed strategies.
