Sophie Grant

DPhil Candidate

My research focuses on social anxiety disorder and peer relationship difficulties in adolescents.

I am working with Dr Eleanor Leigh and Professor Lucy Bowes. We aim to explore the cognitive and behavioural mechanisms that are involved in the reciprocal relationship between social anxiety and peer relationship difficulties, and then develop an intervention for young people that targets these key mechanisms.

My research is funded by the Oxford Health BRC.

Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant at the Oxford Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma.
