We are very pleased to announce that Miriam Klein-Flügge has been conferred the title of Associate Professor in recognition of her contributions to research, teaching and administration at Oxford and beyond.  Miriam’s work involves investigating how subcortical and cortical circuits interact in emotion, motivation and decision making, using neuroimaging and a new neuromodulation technique that uses ultrasound to alter brain activity in deep brain circuits.

Miriam said,

This was never something I dreamed would be possible when I came to Oxford as an MSc student more than a few years ago now. I feel very honoured and look forward to continuing to contribute to the department's research and teaching surrounded by so many fantastic and wonderful colleagues.
