We are developing custom image processing algorithms for cone detection and for extracting eye movements from AOSLO images. In order to characterise the performance of these algorithms we have built a simulation of the AOSLO image capture for a realistic model photoreceptor mosaic with fixational eye movements. This simulation provides a platform for modeling the spatio-temporal photoreceptor signal for given stimuli.
